Meghalaya HC will be closed from 10th to 12th August
NEWS DESK: The Meghalaya High Court will remain closed for three days from 10th to 12th August.
The decision was taken concerning the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
The Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court said that the decision has been taken to fully sanitize the High Court premises for safety concerns.
A circular, issued by the registrar general of the Meghalaya High Court said, “In order to fully sanitize the High Court premise, Hon’ble Chief Justice is pleased to direct that the High Court shall remain closed for three days, from 10th to 12th August”.
“All the matters listed before the virtual courts on the said dates stand deferred on Thursday i.e. 13th August”, he added.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad k Sangma in a tweet on Sunday said that the state stands at 566 total active cases, among which 221 personnel from BSF and armed Forces.
With 67 individual recoveries on Saturday, the total number of recovery reach 490.
